Description
Our clent is a Building Services (mechanical and electrical) Consultancy specialising in the design and build of data centres in the UK and across Europe.
They are looking to recruit an eltrically-biased Building Services Technical Director to oversse MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering teams on largely repalcement plant projects across a data centre portfolio.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Overseeing high-profile multidisciplinary projects, largely critical data centres but may include other sectors. Technical Authority: Approving detailed designs, feasibility studies, and specifications across all RIBA work stages. Business Development: Driving new work, negotiating contracts, and acting as the key client interface. Team Development: Mentoring principal engineers, managing team P&L budgets, and building technical capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Status: You will be chartered. Experience: Extensive UK-based track record operating as a Principal Engineer, Associate Director, or Director within an engineering consultancy. You will have excellent data centre experience, including contacts with major players. It is likely you will come from an FM/Engineering Management background with experience of delivering plant replacement projects in live buildings. Skills: Commercial acumen, in-depth knowledge of UK building standards, and a proven ability to manage complex project pipelines
