Job Title: Disrepair Supervisor (Housing Maintenance)

Location: Croydon (Covering South London patch)

Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour (Temp to Perm)

Are you an experienced Disrepair Supervisor or technical Maintenance Supervisor with deep expertise in managing section 11 legal disrepair cases, damp & mould remediation, and expert witness/surveyor reports

We are urgently recruiting a Disrepair Supervisor based out of Croydon to lead a specialist team delivering legal compliance and disrepair remedial works across South London.

Paying £27.00 per hour, this position is offered on a Temp to Perm basis, providing top-tier hourly pay during your agency trial period along with long-term career stability once established on the permanent headcount.

Key Responsibilities:

Disrepair Case Management: Oversee, schedule, and quality-check remedial works arising from legal disrepair claims (Section 11, damp & mould, structural defects).

Technical Pre- & Post-Inspections: Review technical surveyor reports, scope required multi-trade works, and perform final sign-off inspections to ensure compliance with legal standards.

Operative Supervision: Lead direct multi-trade teams and specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are completed within strict court-directed or agreed legal timelines.

Tenant & Legal Interface: Act as a sensitive, professional point of contact for residents, resolving access issues and managing high-stress tenant interactions diplomatically.

IT & Compliance Reporting: Log variations, upload site photographic evidence, and update job status records via handheld IT/PDA systems.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

Social Housing Experience: Essential background as a Supervisor, Inspector, or Foreman within social housing disrepair, reactive repairs, or void refurbishments.

Disrepair Expertise: Strong working knowledge of legal disrepair processes, Schedule of Rates (SOR), housing health and safety rating systems (HHSRS), and damp/mould diagnosis.

Certifications: Valid CSCS card and SSSTS or IOSH qualification preferred.

IT Skills: Comfortable using mobile handheld technology, job scheduling software, and MS Office.
