Rate: GBP30-GBP32 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: 12-Month Temporary Contract

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to support the effective delivery of an asset management strategy through the collection, analysis, and utilisation of stock condition data.This role plays a key part in ensuring property assets are maintained to a high standard, supporting both short and long-term investment planning. You will carry out a variety of surveys, including Stock Condition Surveys and Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments, across a diverse property portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct surveys across a range of assets including:Occupied and void residential propertiesCommercial buildingsGarages, communal areas, and public spacesUndertake stock condition surveys, HHSRS assessments, and related auditsAccurately record survey data using handheld technology and asset management systemsDeliver survey programmes to agreed targets and report progress regularlyProduce schedules of work and monitor completionSupport the development and delivery of planned programmes based on survey dataAssist in preparing schedules for repairs, renewals, and improvementsCommission and oversee specialist surveys where requiredAnalyse data and prepare recommendations, feasibility studies, and reports on major defects or redevelopment opportunities.Contribute to the development and improvement of asset management systems and processesProvide technical advice to internal teams, contractors, and stakeholdersIdentify and report defects, risks, and tenancy-related issues affecting property condition or resident wellbeingSupport stakeholder engagement, including working with residents and attending meetingsRequirementsEssentialHNC/HND/Degree in Building Construction or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experienceProven experience carrying out stock condition and HHSRS surveysStrong background in inspecting buildings and diagnosing defects in a variety of construction typesKnowledge of building pathology including damp and structural issuesUnderstanding of Decent Homes StandardsKnowledge of health & safety and relevant legislationExperience managing contractors and commissioned workStrong IT skills including use of asset management systems and MS OfficeAbility to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and solve problems effectivelyExcellent communication and report-writing skillsDesirableKnowledge of statutory requirements such as planning, building control, and listed buildingsAwareness of asbestos regulationsAdditional RequirementsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work occasionally outside normal working hoursAbility to travel across the operational area

Other InformationThis role will require a DBS check, depending on project requirements.
