Site Senior Quantity Surveyor

Description

Our client, a leading company in the Transmission and Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in managing the financial and commercial aspects of major projects aimed at enhancing the electrical grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying on large-scale T & D projects

Managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial control

Preparing detailed reports and contractual documents

Assessing and managing commercial risks associated with projects

Providing expert advice on contract and commercial issues

Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective project solutions

Ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards

Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in quantity surveying within the T & D or related sectors

Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills

Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools

Understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field

Ability to work effectively both independently and xjnqpsq as part of a team
