Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a respected housebuilder on a 200–unit timber frame residential development in Widnes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a solid background in new build housing, timber frame construction and NHBC standards to secure a 2–3 month contract starting in September 2026.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day–to–day activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You will coordinate subcontractors and site teams, monitor progress and ensure the development is constructed to the housebuilder's quality requirements and NHBC standards.

Proven experience as a Site Manager within new build housingTimber frame experience is essentialProven experience working to NHBC standardsStrong understanding of new build residential construction and quality requirementsExperience working on large–scale residential developmentsValid SMSTSValid CSCSValid First AidStrong knowledge of health & safety, quality and programme managementExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to manage subcontractors and site teams effectivelyCandidates must have previous new build housing experience, timber frame experience and a strong understanding of NHBC standards to be considered for this position.
