Job Title: Site Manager – Property Services (Retrofit Works)

Location: Chorley / Preston (North West)

Job Type: Temporary

Sector: Social Housing / Property Services / Retrofit

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee retrofit works within a Property Services programme across the Chorley and Preston areas, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day–to–day site operations on retrofit and property improvement projects.

Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures.

Monitor project progress, quality of workmanship, and programme delivery.

Liaise with residents, client representatives, and internal teams to maintain effective communication throughout works.

Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.

Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager within property services, refurbishment, or retrofit programmes.

Experience delivering works in occupied social housing environments is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of retrofit / energy efficiency works (e.g., insulation, windows/doors, ventilation, heating upgrades).

Valid SMSTS

CSCS card (relevant level).

First Aid at Work certification preferred.

Manual Handling, Working at Heights, and Asbestos Awareness certifications, or willingness to complete these prior to starting.

Strong organisational and communication skills.
