Senior Quantity Surveyor

Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a leading utilities and infrastructure services provider, recognised for its technical excellence and commitment to sustainability, to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its Hinkley Point C site.

This permanent role is hybrid and offers up to 75,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will:

Managing NEC contracts from procurement through to final accountLeading the commercial administration of allocated projects and work packagesManaging commercial risk and opportunity to maximise project performanceProducing and reviewing forecasts, cost reports, and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)

Required qualifications and experience

To be considered, you must have:

Significant experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within a construction, infrastructure, or engineering environment.Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.Strong knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts, including change management and compensation events.Proven experience in cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, and financial performance management.Strong knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts, including change management and compensation events.Proven experience in cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, and financial performance management.Full UK Drivers License along with rights to work in the UK

Desirable experience

It would be an advantage, but is not essential, to have:

Experience within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated environments is desirable.Membership of RICS, CICES, or equivalent professional body, or working towards chartered status, is desirable.
