Senior Health and Safety Advisor Scotland Hybrid up to GBP65,000 + Package ID: 11844

Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor supporting major infrastructure projects across Scotland. With multiple projects, this is an exciting role that works within a strong team of both Safety and Environmental professionals, providing a balance between strategic implementation to operational support to the advisors in the region. This role with provides the opportunity to make a real impact across a major infrastructure programme. You ll work closely with the health and safety manager, providing senior leadership across the framework and deputising when required

The Role

Lead and develop a small team of advisorsProvide visible health and safety leadership across live infrastructure projectsConduct audits, investigations, site inspections and RAMS reviewsUse health and safety performance data to identify trends and drive improvementChallenge operational teams and senior stakeholders where requiredSupport the wider Health and Safety strategy and build strong client relationshipsMaintain a visible presence across the project portfolio What We're Looking For

Proven Senior H&S Advisor experienceEssential: line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a teamStrong construction, infrastructure or utilities experience, ideally water, gas, energy, civils or large scale constructionThe confidence to challenge managers and senior stakeholders and influence changeStrong practical knowledge of construction risks including deep excavation, groundworks, drainage, underground services, lifting operations, plant, confined spaces, work at height and heavy equipment installationThe ability to operate strategically while remaining credible and comfortable on siteNEBOSH or equivalent qualification Package
