Location: East London / Essex

Salary: Up to 85,000

Senior Contract Manager – Planned Works

We are working exclusively with a leading main contractor that has secured a strong pipeline of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across East London and Essex. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contract Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple planned works contracts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast–paced environment, enjoys leading operational teams, and is passionate about delivering high–quality housing improvements for residents.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for managing multiple planned works contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects typically include:

Internal and external refurbishmentsKitchen and bathroom replacementsWindow and door programmesRoofing worksExternal decorationsEnergy efficiency and retrofit programmesDecent Homes and planned maintenance schemes

Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational delivery of multiple planned works contracts across East London and Essex.Manage Contract Managers, Site Managers and operational teams to achieve programme, quality and financial targets.Build and maintain strong relationships with local authority and housing association clients.Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, KPIs and SLAs.Drive health and safety compliance across all live projects.Monitor commercial performance alongside Commercial Managers to maximise profitability.Lead client meetings, progress reviews and performance reporting.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.Support business growth through excellent client relationships and successful contract delivery.Mentor and develop junior management teams.

About You

We're looking to speak with experienced operational leaders who have a proven background delivering planned maintenance within the social housing sector.

You'll ideally have:

Significant experience as a Senior Contract Manager, Contract Manager or Operations Manager.Proven track record working for a main contractor delivering planned works within occupied social housing.Strong knowledge of planned maintenance programmes and long–term partnering contracts.Experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously.Excellent client–facing and stakeholder management skills.Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and performance.Demonstrable leadership experience managing large operational teams.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Full UK Driving Licence.
