We're looking for a Resourcing Specialist to play a pivotal role within our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), supporting the attraction, recruitment, onboarding and ongoing workforce administration of skilled operatives across the UK and Ireland.

This varied role combines talent acquisition, workforce planning, dashboard and reporting management and operational support, ensuring accurate workforce data and insights are available to support operational decision–making. Alongside this, you'll help deliver an outstanding candidate and employee experience, ensuring recruitment, onboarding and workforce administration activities are managed efficiently, accurately and effectively.

Working closely with operational leaders, HR, Learning & Development and external partners, you'll help build talent pipelines, support future workforce needs, drive continuous improvement, and deliver an exceptional candidate and employee experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with operational teams to understand current and future workforce requirements. Manage end–to–end recruitment campaigns, sourcing talent through a variety of channels including social media, job boards, networking and recruitment events. Build and maintain talent pipelines to support future hiring needs across the DLO. Screen and assess candidates, coordinate interviews and manage the offer process. Develop and maintain role profiles, ensuring consistency and alignment across all DLO roles and disciplines. Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, recruitment partners and external agencies. Coordinate and attend recruitment and selection events across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Work collaboratively with Marketing and Early Careers teams to promote opportunities and attract new talent. Logistics & Workforce Support

Maintain and develop workforce dashboards, providing accurate reporting and insights to support operational decision–making and workforce planning. Provide administrative, monitoring and reporting support to divisional leadership teams. Support onboarding, compliance training and certification requirements by working closely with HR, Recruitment, L&D and site teams. Drive continuous improvement across recruitment, reporting, workforce planning, and internal mobility processes. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure workforce communications and employee information remain accurate, relevant and up to date. General

Provide support to the wider Recruitment team as required. Contribute to initiatives that enhance attraction, retention, engagement and employee development across the DLO. What you'll bring to Farrans:

Essential

Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast–paced, evolving environment.

Resilient, adaptable and confident in responding to changing business needs.

Strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.

Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.

Experience managing workforce data, reporting and complex dashboards.

Previous experience screening, assessing and evaluating candidates.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful workforce insights.

Desirable

Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and social media recruitment tools.

Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Previous experience within construction, engineering, utilities, manufacturing or a Direct Labour Organisation environment.

Experience supporting workforce planning, talent pipeline development or operational recruitment activities.

We're looking for someone who is:

Proactive, organised and solution–focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast–paced environment. A strong relationship builder and collaborative team player, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Customer–focused, with a passion for delivering an excellent candidate and employee experience. Comfortable working with data, using insights to support decision–making and drive continuous improvement. Flexible and willing to travel across the UK and Ireland to support recruitment and workforce activities. This is an office–based role working standard hours of 9:00am to 5:15pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 4:30pm on Friday.

The role offers a varied mix of recruitment, workforce planning and stakeholder engagement activities and requires regular travel across the UK, Ireland and occasionally Europe to support recruitment campaigns, selection events and operational meetings.

Flexibility is essential, and occasional overnight stays may be required to support business needs.

Here at Farrans we build, we transform, and we connect. Making a positive difference to the communities in which we operate is our passion and we place social responsibility at the heart of every scheme.

The projects we deliver have an important role in the everyday lives of people in the UK & Ireland. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and strive for sustainability in all we do.
