Our client, a leading infrastructure services provider, is looking to appoint an Operational Safety Advisor to support projects across Lanarkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to play a key role in promoting best practice, ensuring compliance, and driving a positive safety culture across operational teams.

The Role

As Operational Safety Advisor, you will work closely with site and management teams to ensure health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) standards are maintained and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the delivery of HSEQ objectives across operational projectsProviding practical health and safety advice to site teams and managersConducting site inspections, audits and safety observationsAssisting with incident investigations and root cause analysisIdentifying trends and recommending improvements to safety performanceSupporting risk assessments and implementing effective control measuresProducing safety communications, reports and presentationsKeeping teams informed of relevant legislation and industry best practicePromoting a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the business Requirements

Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within an operational environmentCivil engineering or infrastructure project experienceStrong understanding of risk management and incident investigationNEBOSH qualification (essential)Excellent communication and reporting skillsAbility to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levelsExperience carrying out audits, inspections and compliance reviewsFull UK driving licence What's on Offer?
