Role: Multiskilled Operative

Hourly Rate: £15.87 per hour, overtime available and opportunity to earn additional merit of up to £4.38 following probation

Role based: Portakabin Ltd, Carr Wood Road, Glasshoughton, Castleford, WF10 4PT

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 7.45 – 4.30, 3.30 on Fridays

We are seeking a Multiskilled Operative to join our team in based in Castleford.

These roles will play a critical part in ensuring products are manufactured and delivered to our customers safely, on time and to our high quality standards. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for carrying out all tasks necessary to meet our customer requirements, following established procedures and instructions and applying practical experience.

In this role you will be required to:

As a Multiskilled Operative you will:

• Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment, in line with health, safety and environmental standards.

• Follow technical instructions, RAMS and company procedures to complete work safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

• Carry out refurbishment and fit-out activities following technical specifications, SOPs, RAMS and company procedures, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

• Support colleagues by assisting with activities across the team, supporting activities outside own experience where qualified or experienced to do so.

• Contribute to team delivery by working collaboratively and escalating issues promptly where they cannot be resolved.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Experience gained in operational environments, working across a variety of semi-skilled activities.

• Practical skills are acquired through training and supervised application.

• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment and materials, with experience of using them safely.

• Some basic experience in Plumbing and Electrics would be advantageous

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessments and Method Statements. xjnqpsq
