Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance QS to join a large scale development in Gloucester.
The role:
Overseeing subcontract management, including monthly valuations, payment assessments, variations and commercial queries Managing subcontractor procurement and package managment, ensuring outstanding packages are procured in line with the construction programme. Implementing and managing change control, assessing variations, reviewing subcontractor quotations, agreeing costs and maintaining accurate change registers. Preparing monthly CVRs, cost reports, forecasts and cost–to–complete assessments. Monitoring subcontractor performance against contractual obligations, programme requirements and commercial targets. Managing subcontractor variations, compensation events and loss and expense claims where applicable. Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and reporting potential cost exposure.
