Fire Door Remedial Technician***
Are you an experienced Fire Door Remedial Technician looking for your next contract role?
We're recruiting on behalf of a respected, small but growing local business seeking a skilled professional with proven fire door remedial experience. This is a fantastic immediately available on-going temporary opportunity for someone who understands the importance of compliance, quality workmanship, and getting the details right. Note this role offers flexibility with days and hours and can be discussed.
Pay rate £260-£270 per day (depending on experience)
The Role
Carry out Fire door remedial works and repairs across the Surrey/Hampshire area
Routing and adjusting doors and frames
Re-hanging doors
Replacing seals, locks, closers and ironmongery
Door and frame repairs
Sealing frame gaps to required standards
Completing compliance documentation and reports
Working in line with fire safety regulations and third-party certification requirementsThe ideal Fire Door Technician will need:
Proven Fire Door Remedials experience
Knowledge of BM TRADA Accepted Repair Techniques
Understanding of Approved Document B and BS 8214
Full UK Driving Licence essential
Own transport xjnqpsq and tools
DBS check
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Professional, customer-focused approachDesirable skills include:
FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation
NVQ Level 2/3 in Passive Fire Protection
Enhanced DBSThis role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and understands that fire doors are a critical life safety system, not just another carpentry task
