Full-time - reporting to Managing Director

Our client is growing and they’re looking for an Estimator to join their team!

They are a leading fencing contractor operating across new build housing, commercial, schools and public sector projects throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire and surrounding counties. They’re known for quality, reliability and delivering projects safely, on time and on budget.

If you have construction estimating experience and a strong practical understanding of site-based work, they’d like to hear from you.

The Role

This is an office-based estimating role supporting pricing and tender submissions across all sectors, primarily new build housing and commercial developments.

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director to prepare accurate, competitive and commercially sound tenders.

Occasional site visits may be required.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reviewing drawings and tender documentsPreparing accurate cost estimatesPricing materials, labour, plant and subcontract worksComparing supplier and subcontractor quotationsSubmitting clear and professional tenders on timeIdentifying risks, cost savings and commercial opportunitiesSupporting smooth handover of successful projectsMaintaining up-to-date pricing information

What They’re Looking For

Experience in construction estimating, fencing, landscaping or related sectorsExperience pricing new build housing and/or commercial projectsA good practical understanding of site-based workStrong numerical and commercial skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsOrganised, methodical and deadline-focusedConfident using Excel and estimating systemsFull UK driving licence

Desirable:

Experience working with housing developers or main contractors
