Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Contract: Freelance / Contract

Rate: GBP350 - GBP400 CIS/LTD

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager / Supervisor to support the delivery of a major construction project in Sheffield. This role requires a strong background across both civil engineering and building works, with responsibility for managing site activities, subcontractors, programme delivery and health & safety compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on site leader who can oversee multiple work packages and drive projects through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations across civils and building work packages. Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers on site. Ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Oversee civil engineering activities including earthworks, drainage, foundations, reinforced concrete works and external infrastructure. Manage building packages including structural, fit-out and finishing works. Conduct toolbox talks, site briefings and safety inspections. Monitor quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with project specifications. Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports and health & safety records. Liaise effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Clients and Stakeholders. Proactively identify and resolve construction issues to minimise programme delays. Requirements

Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Site Supervisor. Demonstrable experience delivering both civil engineering and building projects. Strong understanding of site operations, programme management and subcontractor coordination. SMSTS qualification. Valid CSCS Card. Excellent knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction programmes. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and subcontractors simultaneously. Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach. What's on Offer?
