Construction Estimator

Description

We are currently working with an established residential developer who are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join their team in South Wales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders across a range of residential developments, working closely with the commercial and technical teams to ensure projects are competitively priced and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for residential developments.Conducting viability studies.Reviewing drawings, specifications and relevant documentation.Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.Carrying out material and labour take-offs.Identifying potential cost savings and commercial opportunities.Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.Supporting the commercial team through the tender and procurement process.Ensuring estimates are accurate, competitive and submitted within required deadlines.

About You

Previous experience working as an Estimator within the open market, residential construction sector.Strong understanding of housebuilding and construction costs.Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.Good knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets across South Wales.Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established residential developer with a strong pipeline of work across South Wales.
