About the Role
Our client is a leading nationwide main contractor delivering projects across a wide range of construction sectors throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial performance of multiple projects and support the strategic growth of the business.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role offers the opportunity to influence commercial strategy while ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of multiple construction projects. Oversee Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams. Manage budgets, forecasts and cost reporting. Drive procurement strategy and subcontractor management. Review and negotiate contract terms. Manage risk, opportunity and dispute resolution processes. Ensure robust commercial controls across the project portfolio. Contribute to business planning and growth initiatives. Requirements
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within construction. Main contractor background preferred. Strong contractual knowledge, including JCT and NEC forms. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities. Ability to work strategically while maintaining operational oversight. Package
