Description

We are working with a leading national housebuilder to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for a large, multi-phase development in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to develop their career with an established business offering long-term progression and the opportunity to work on a quality housing development.

The successful candidate will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the site, helping to ensure that homes are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards of quality.

The Role

Assist the Site Manager with the daily management and coordination of site activities.

Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.

Monitor build quality and ensure compliance with company procedures and NHBC requirements.

Help maintain construction programmes and drive progress towards key milestones.

Carry out regular site inspections, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.

Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the development.

Assist with plot inspections, snagging and the preparation of homes for customer handover.

Maintain accurate site records and support the effective management of resources and materials.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a supervisory role within residential construction, and ideally with experience of trad build and timber frame.

A background in housebuilding, ideally with a volume housebuilder.

Good knowledge of construction methods, build programmes and quality standards.

Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple trades.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid

If you are an Assistant Site Manager looking for your next opportunity in Swindon, we would be keen to hear from you.
