Description

Retails for around £129.99 on Amazon. This is an as-new, fully functioning TP-Link Deco S7 3-pack, with all three Deco units, power supplies and network cable included. No original box.

This is the AC1900 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi system. It creates one Wi-Fi network throughout your home, with your devices automatically connecting to the most appropriate Deco as you move around.

The three-pack is designed so that one Deco connects to your existing broadband hub/router, while the other two can be positioned elsewhere around the house to improve coverage and eliminate Wi-Fi blackspots.

Specification:

- AC1900 dual-band Wi-Fi
- Coverage quoted at up to 5,600 sq ft
- Supports up to 150 connected devices
- Gigabit Ethernet ports
- 1.2GHz CPU
- Alexa compatibility
- Parental controls

Why am I selling it?

It worked perfectly for me, but I live in a rather unusual split-level house built into a quarry, effectively spread across four different levels, with thick external walls between some areas. I've therefore upgraded to a larger six-unit Deco Wi-Fi 6 system to give me coverage everywhere.

For a more conventional house, this three-unit system is a really straightforward way of improving Wi-Fi coverage. Obviously every property is different, so I can't guarantee particular speeds or coverage in your home, but this is exactly the sort of problem a mesh system is designed to solve.

Setup is surprisingly easy. You'll need a spare mains socket near your broadband hub and a socket wherever you position each of the other two Decos. Download the free TP-Link Deco app, connect the first Deco to your hub using the supplied network cable and follow the instructions. Once that's working, add the other two and experiment with their positions to get the best coverage.

There are also heaps of setup videos online if you want to see how it works before buying.

And if you're local and get stuck setting it up, I'm happy to help.

You're essentially getting the complete working system you'd receive buying new, just without the retail box — and at a considerably lower price.
