Posting for 3+ monthsLarge, 18th/19th century armoire - for use as hanging hall cupboard or bedroom wardrobe
Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester
£350
Description
This is a fantastic piece of antique furniture, reluctantly being sold due to a house move and downsizing. This started life as a French, or possibly Dutch, elegantly painted armoire probably 200 years old (plus/minus) that provides great storage. Now stripped revealing its pitch pine construction of a rich colour. This is quality carpentry, unlike anything modern. Can be used for hanging clothes, or with the 2 shelves inserted as flat storage for all sorts of clothes or bed linen etc. Either way, it has 2 large drawers at bottom. But be aware: this piece of furniture is large and very heavy - even when the doors and drawers are removed. Dimensions are: height 210cm (83"), width 127cm (50"), depth 58cm (23"). It will require 2 strong men and a van to collect. Please be sure you will be able to remove it before buying. [NOTE: This has to be removed by very latest 1st June - or it goes to auction].
