For sale is my 2015 Citroën C4 Cactus. I purchased the car in April 2024 for £5,600 and since then I have spent £2,300 on an engine rebuild.

I am too young to start getting high blood pressure so have decided to sell it since I am not currently driving.

Mechanical condition:

The engine has been rebuilt but there is an audible rattle when holding around 2,000 rpm for extended periods which remains unresolved.

The MOT has expired and the vehicle is not currently road‑legal, so it is sold as a project vehicle / for repair or parts.

Some of the exhaust mounts have come off and need replacing/repair.

Apart from the engine rattle and exhaust issue, other major mechanical issues are not known (though as‑is condition, “buyer to satisfy themselves”).

Cosmetic condition:

There is visible cosmetic damage along the driver side of the car (please see photos) caused when doing a nighttime driver-side blind corner reverse and contacted a pesky vehicle restriction post.

Interior shows normal wear for a 2015 car of this mileage.

What it is good for:

A good opportunity for someone who is mechanical or wants a project to finish off.

Could be used for parts if you don’t want to repair fully.

What you should check:

Because the engine still has the rattle, please consider a full inspection before purchase.

The cost to bring back to MOT standard may include: finishing engine diagnosis/fix, exhaust mounts, bodywork repair, and then MOT + any advisories.
