APOLOGIES FOR NOT UP TO DATE PHOTOS, I'LL ADD MORE TOMORROW, LOOKS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME.

Starts, runs drives but needs at least one wheel bearing/maybe a hub as it sounds grouchy and a few other jobs. I did do the bearing before but it was in lockdown and I know I damaged it putting it in. I paid someone to do the other one but they did a bad job too so suspect both need doing. No play in it at all but sounds dreadful now. Could still be driven to a pre booked MOT no bother, it's not falling off 😉😉. It's passed 2 like this. The engine fan is on a switch, common mod on these as the original fails, often in traffic and that's your lot if you don't catch it. All speeds work on the interior one as well, very unique.

MOT run out for a while but it's never failed hugely on anything bad, never been welded, happy to photograph it underneath and I have drive on ramps if you want to check. You can use motcheck.gov and enter the reg. Can't recall much, if any rust on the car? It's sat a while though so I'll double check.
Being the car version you can go into the tip for free and it's also got 2 side load doors and the desirable hatchback, I've had a many a food break in work dry underneath it.

Pretty basic, no abs etc but it does have electric windows, central locking (that mostly works but not off the fob, common issue) and power steering,rev counter, everything you need really but not much else. NOT the modutop version so no leaks, but loads of storage everywhere, very clever things.

Two keys, might even have some history with it and receipts as it's only had a few owners, one for many years before me.

Sad sale this as it's been a great vehicle but I have a van now and have no reason to keep this plus it's in the way out the front.

Starts, runs and drives and I fitted a 60k gearbox, driveshafts and a new clutch (old one kept for reference, barely worn) back in summer 2024 as I had every intention of getting it back on the road. The cost of that was more than I'm asking.

Engine doesn't smoke or rattle, doesn't use oil or water but it does flash up a misfire code from cold. I think it's a sparkplug but could be the coil pack, cyl 3 misfire I think? I'd say the former as it clears when warm, or even just not cold. Still drives the same.

It's old enough to pass an MOT with the EML on anyway but I'll give you my old code reader as well to clear it, takes seconds.

I've owned it a few years now, since the Sunday before the first lockdown in fact, drove home on an empty motorway and it's been a great companion, my dog adored it.

I've always slept in it when I worked away, it's been everywhere, as I made up a micro camper conversion but it's long since gone I'm afraid.

I took the back seats out and I'm not 100% sure where they are so expect they're gone. If I find them they're yours.

Paint has suffered lacquer peel that all these seem to in this colour and there's a few minor scratches but actually it's still very presentable, no big dents or huge scrapes.

Its cheap because it's got no MOT and needs some work but it's 23 years old now and you might even get classic insurance on it? It's the cheapest car I've ever insured and I'm 50 😀😀, I think £150/yr hence I've always kept it going as it's been a great spare car, so handy.

I still think there's a good amount of life left in it and I'd love to see it have a second chance or even provide spares for another. I think the axle was done at some point but there's no bending in it anyway (hugely common fault with these)and it handles superbly. The 1.6 16v suits it perfectly, nice and revvy.

Please expect a few other faults but it's one of the, if not the, cheapest ones out there that actually runs and I've seen a lot of these that are at deaths door but the owners still think they're worth £2000.

Very much open to offers but remember scrap is on the up with all these wars so please be fair, I'm not giving it away, I'll not it and ask a grand if I get no decent offers.
I'd love too see it to go a good home, genuinely, so don't be afraid to ask any questions.
