Description
A large Antique Camphor Wood storage chest (It is on castor wheels for ease of movement as it is substantial. Probably made for a missionary. Name engraved in to the top. Extremely well made and has a very strong camphor smell (To deter insects etc). Heavy brass engraved handles at both ends. A round engraved decorative clasp at the front, showing a standing lion and a tree.
Inside is a fine panelled camphor lid and lining. Two camphor slatted trays sit on the inner rim. Very spacious and clean interior.
Measures 142 cms long. 68 cms deep and 75 cms high. In excellent condition. Has been cleaned and polished. Please see photographs.
An outstanding item to own. A two person lift.
