For sale set of 2 original Ercol Quaker Windsor Chairs (model 1875) in 'Golden Dawn Finish'.

This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro furniture.

Each chair is made of solid ash. The seats are showing some lovely complex ash grain. Each subtly fashioned back consists of 6 turned spindles within a tall arched frame. The well constructed solid ash seats are inset beneath with angled tapering legs which provide perfect support, and matching H pattern stretchers help to bolster the chairs structural rigidity.

The chairs are in excellent (original) vintage condition with some light marks commensurate with age and use. They are free of any damage, splits, repairs or wear to joints. The chairs are sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the elm seat. They have been cleaned and waxed. The chairs come with original cushions.
