RENOVATED Set of 4 Vintage Retro Designer 60's Ercol Small Windsor Chairs (model 400)

For sale set of four fully renovated 1960's Ercol Windsor Small Chairs (model 400) in 'Light / Blonde Finish'.

This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro furniture which is no longer in production.

Each chair has a solid English elm seat (light / blonde finish) with beech backs, spindles and legs. The seats are showing some lovely complex elm grain. Each subtly fashioned back consists of 4 turned spindles within a low arched frame. The well constructed solid elm seats are inset beneath with angled tapering legs which provide perfect support, and matching H pattern stretchers help to bolster the chairs structural rigidity.

The chairs have been professionally restored to original condition and are being sold in as new condition. The chairs have been striped of all old polish, any dents or scratches removed, re-stained (the seat) and re-polished (three coats of extra durable, water and heat resistant varnish) to a pristine condition. The chairs are free of any splits or wear to joints. The BS kite mark is underneath of seats.
