Description
Chinese yoke-back armchair, also known as an official's hat chair.
-distinctive curved top rail, with an S-shaped backrest splat divided into three panels with openwork carvings, including what appears to be a qilin, a symbol of luck and prosperity.
Purchased as a pair from kings road London 25 years ago. Not sure of originality …
