Description
A handsome pair of Danish mid-century modern armchairs or carver dining chairs, attributed to Thomas Harlev for Farstrup Møbler, Denmark, and closely related to the celebrated Model 210 “Smile” series.
The chairs have beautifully sculpted, warm-toned teak frames, distinctive sweeping curved black backrests, black upholstered seats, tapered legs and the characteristic low front stretchers. They are comfortable, well-proportioned designs that work particularly well as dining armchairs, desk chairs, occasional chairs or statement pieces in a mid-century interior.
Acquired in Denmark in 2014.
Condition
Good vintage condition overall, with attractive age-related wear consistent with use and age.
