Attractive 1/2 size cello of Hungarian origin, dating from approximately the 1950s–1970s, bearing a “Made in Hungary” export label (typical of quality workshop instruments produced for Western export during this period).

A similar fully carved 1/2 size cello of this quality would typically be priced around £1,200–£1,500 in a UK violin shop, following full professional setup and warranty.

Hungarian cellos from the mid-20th century are well regarded for their solid construction, reliability, and warm, balanced tone, and are particularly sought after in smaller sizes where good carved instruments are much harder to find.
