Description
We have a beautiful chinchilla Persian cat who sadly needs to be rehomed due to me developing cat allergies. This has been a very difficult decision, as she is an absolutely gorgeous, affectionate, and gentle girl who has been a much loved part of our family.
She has been raised on Royal Canin wet and dry food and is used to using KatKin clumping litter. We have also used Catsan non clumping litter before. She enjoys trying different foods and treats and is happy with Whiskas wet food in jelly or gravy, Dreamies, Martha’s soft bites, Beaphar dental easy treats, Lick e Lix, Vitacat tasty sticks, and occasional small treats such as boiled chicken/turkey breast.
Her dental care has been well maintained. She had professional dental treatment a month ago. We regularly use Protexin Veterinary Plaquease and ProDen Plaque Off powder mixed into her dry food to help prevent tartar build up, and her teeth are brushed around three times a week using Beaphar liver flavoured toothpaste with a rubber finger toothbrush.
She is fully insured and on a care plan with Vets for Pets. She is vet checked and healthy, neutered, vaccinated up to date, and receives flea and worm treatments every month. She is an indoor cat and must remain indoors for her safety, as her breed does not cope well outdoors without close human protection and supervision.
She has a very calm and predictable daily routine. In the morning around 7am, when my children get up, she is given half a portion of Royal Canin Persian wet food along with dry food mixed with Go Cat and Royal Canin dry food. She is not a big eater and often eats less than half of her wet food, with the remainder kept in the fridge for later. After breakfast she grooms herself and settles on my bed by the window, where she enjoys the sunshine and sleeps for around 3 to 4 hours.
Around midday she may explore the house, watch people outside, or play gently when I am home. When the children return from school between 3 and 5pm, she enjoys keeping them company and will ask for her evening meal. She is given the rest of her wet food and dry food around 5 to 6pm. She usually settles into a deep sleep once the lights are turned off around 10 to 11pm.
Her temperament is extremely sweet and gentle. She is very polite and communicates clearly through gentle vocalisation or light swatting before becoming stressed if she dislikes something. She enjoys sitting near people she trusts and is not clingy, except around meal times. She often comes close to us, purrs softly, and chooses to sit right beside us. At bedtime, when redirected to her own bed, she accepts this easily and sleeps there comfortably through the night.
I am heartbroken to have to let her go, but my allergy symptoms have become increasingly difficult to manage. I am hoping to find her a forever indoor home with a kind, patient, and loving family where she can enjoy a calm and happy life.
A £450 rehoming fee will apply to help ensure she finds a committed and responsible forever home. She is very well cared for, and we are keen to find the right family for her.
