Description
My lovely boy is 11 years old
He is a lovely affectionate cat and loves cuddles/strokes but most importantly he loves company
He thrives when someone is around and enjoys being close to this person.
Sadly, he has ongoing health issues, including high blood pressure, thyroid, and episodes of dementia. He takes daily medication and would need someone who understands / comfortable caring for an ageing cat with medical needs.
The vets are concerned about his quality of life but I feel a chance to help him feel safe and loved, is what he needs.
The vets have discussed end-of-life options which is heartbreaking. But I truly believe that with the right person — someone who is home most of the time and able to give him consistent companionship — he could continue to feel safe, loved, and content.
He would be best suited to: A calm home, someone who is home most of the day and doesn’t travel often, someone who has looked after cats before, an adult-only household (he prefers adults over children) and no other animals.
If I were able to stay home with him full-time, but due to frequent work travel, I cant give him the stability he deserves.
This is an incredibly difficult decision but out of love for him - I must try
