A Very Special Home for Smokey 🩶

With a very heavy heart, I am looking for a loving forever home for my beautiful boy, Smokey.
Smokey is approximately 4 years old and is a gorgeous male British Blue. He is an indoor cat who is very loved and very much part of our family. He only goes outside in his cat pram, as he is used to being an indoor boy.
Smokey is a very calm, intelligent and curious cat. He is naturally inquisitive and loves exploring and observing what is happening around him, but he is also incredibly well behaved. He has never been the type of cat to break things or cause chaos around the house.
He has a lovely personality and is quite independent. At times, he will want a little attention and he certainly knows how to let you know when he wants it! Once he has had his affection, he is perfectly happy doing his own thing.
One of the sweetest things about him is that he often likes to follow you around the house, quietly keeping you company. He will look at you and give you eye contact, almost as though he is checking in with you, but he also enjoys having his own space. He isn't demanding or constantly seeking attention—he simply has his own little personality and likes affection on his terms.
He is vaccinated, has lots of toys and everything he needs, and most importantly, he is incredibly loved and cared for.
Sadly, we have discovered that my husband is allergic to cats, and after a lot of thought, I have come to the heartbreaking decision that I need to find Smokey a new home. This is genuinely one of the hardest things I have had to do, because I love him so much.
I will not be asking for any money for Smokey. It simply doesn't feel right to put a price on a cat who means so much to me. What matters to me is finding him a wonderful person or family who will love him, care for him properly and treat him as part of their family.
Because I am so attached to Smokey, I would also really appreciate being able to stay in occasional contact with his new owner, if they are comfortable with this. I would love to receive the occasional photograph or update and know that he is happy and doing well. I completely understand that he would become your cat and I would respect your boundaries; I would simply find it comforting to know how my boy is getting on.
I am not looking for the quickest home for Smokey—I am looking for the right one. Please only contact me if you are genuinely able to give him a safe, loving and permanent home.
I may ask some questions about you and your home before making a decision, because Smokey deserves nothing less than the very best. 🩶
Smokey isn't just a pet to me. He is part of my family, and I want to make sure he is going to someone who will love him as much as I do.
