We are looking for a chef with an eye for detail and a front of house/general assistant with the ability to work in a varied role.
Where are we?
Our working farm is off the beaten track in the stunning Lake District National Park on the edge of Coniston Water (lake) and next to Grizedale forest, renowned open water swimming and mountain biking destination. From the farm we run a guesthouse, self catering cottages, restaurant and tearoom, mountain bike & boat hire, paddleboarding and open water swimming lessons, farm shop and kennels.
Bank Ground Farm is famous for its literary connection to Arthur Ransome who based the home of Swallows and Amazons on our farm.
The ideal candidates would be foodies that have a dynamic personalities and the ability and the enthusiasm to converse with guests about food, the local area and the hikes they’ve enjoyed. As well as be able to prepare beautifully presented delicious food!
Should you like variety, this is a great opportunity for you to grow in other areas outside of classical hospitality as we have the farm and outdoor water pursuits area (kayaks/SUPs/canoes/peddleboards) that also need tending to by the team.
Flexible hours to accommodate lifestyle.
It would be preferable if you had your own car as we are a 20 minute walk into the village and public transport is infrequent and the bus station is relatively far away if it's hammering it down!
