*WANTED* An all rounder Mechanic, possibility of on site accommodation, hard working, fit

We are looking for an experienced all rounder mechanic - all ethnicities, backgrounds and religions welcome!

About us:

Small family run business. We have a large yard full of classic and modern vehicles that need either restoration, repair, TLC etc to get them ready for sale. We also sell car parts, mostly classic, as well as some more modern parts. Our aim is to repair and restore 80% of the vehicles we have so that we can get them sold and downsize as well as to sell our parts stocks.


What your role would be:

Moving batteries around and placing them on to vehicles that need starting, pumping up tyres, moving vehicles around, engine removal, engine changes, stripping vehicles for parts, engine repairs, brake pads/discs/shoes etc, clutches, gearbox change, restoring classic cars, painting, lower arms, bushes, diffs, radiators, servicing, fixing customers cars etc etc

Would need to know how to operate Oxygen & Acetylene. Being able to weld would be a major advantage as would being able to drive HGV's.

Would also need to be a bit of a handy man who can turn his hand to most things. Must have common sense and the ability to improvise and think for themselves, not just stand around until given instructions. Not afraid of a bit of hand balling, heavy lifting etc.

We will occasionally take on work repairing local residents cars as well. There is a lot of potential here for the right applicant.


What we need:

Someone who can get themselves out of bed and to work on time each morning. Someone who can drive, although a driving license is not essential but would be an advantage. Must be hands on and move at a fast pace. Can't be afraid of the rain, or the snow, or the sun, or the dark. This is not your average 9-5, we work til we run out of daylight and even then we fire up the genny and work til the job's done.

In a nutshell we need someone who is an experienced mechanic, can turn spanners, works off their own initiative, keeps themselves to themselves, comes to work to work and not to get paid for doing f*ck all, is a grafter and happy to get stuck in with whatever the days tasks are i.e. moving parts, moving cars around, breaking down scrap. Someone that isn't a drug addict or an alcoholic or a compulsive liar/b*llsh*tter.

If the successful applicant proves themselves to be trustworthy then we may ask you to sell/list items for us online, therefore you must be tech/computer savvy.

Off grid on site accommodation is available for the right applicant, this can be negotiated. This can be single, couple or family accommodation. If you have a partner/wife then there may be job opportunities on site for them also i.e cleaning, cooking. We can discuss this in more detail when we meet.
