Ersari Turkmen rug, north Afghanistan, circa 1940s-50s, 4ft. 3in. x 2ft. 10in. 1.30m. x 0.86m. Small 'bite' to lower end, right side and small 'nick 'to right side. Red field with two rows of five small guls, uriuk (apricot blossom) gul main border and medallion ends. In ready to use condition.
