About Frankie: Frankie is a sociable, determined and cheeky 9-year-old who lives with his parents and two younger sisters. He loves games, music, football, story time, walks and spending time with friends. Frankie has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. He uses Eye Gaze technology and PECS to communicate and receives nutrition, fluids and medication via a mini button PEG. Following recent ITB pump surgery, his comfort and muscle control have improved significantly. Frankie receives 2:1 support from a dedicated care team.
The Role: This is an active, waking night role with a structured routine. Shifts begin with a full handover and typically Frankie will already be settled in bed. Responsibilities include medication administration, PEG management, manual handling, monitoring sleep patterns, completing care logs and light clinical tasks such as washing syringes and restocking supplies. Frankie’s sleep can be unpredictable, and support levels vary nightly. A sleeping night carer is always present to assist if required and will move to a waking rate if prolonged support is needed.
Who This Role Suits: A compassionate, reliable and experienced Waking Night Carer with strong communication skills and confidence in manual handling. You’ll be committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting Frankie to live a happy, fulfilling life.
Why You’ll Love This Role: You’ll be part of a warm, professional and highly supportive team. Frankie’s parents and MDT invest heavily in training and ongoing development, creating a positive and well-supported working environment. A truly rewarding role.
Recruitment Process: This vacancy is managed through Snap Care’s Shortlist Service. Applications will be reviewed against essential criteria before suitable candidates are passed to the client/case manager.
