Waking Night Carer – Daventry, NN11
A great bank opportunity supporting Sue, a fun and engaging 20-year-old young woman with a learning disability and epilepsy, during waking night shifts. £17.26 gross per hour.
Location: Daventry, NN11 (Welton area)
Pay: £17.26 gross per hour
Driver: Not required for waking nights (required if covering extra day/twilight shifts)
Essential: Waking night experience, learning disability and epilepsy experience. Female applicants only and non-smoker/vaper
Desirable: Non-verbal communication and visual communication aids experience
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Bank waking nights, 10:00pm–8:00am, offered on an as-needed basis, including short notice cover
Pets: Family cat
About the Role:
Provide overnight support to Sue, ensuring her safety, comfort, and wellbeing, including close observation for seizure activity, epilepsy management, medication administration, personal care, light manual handling, food/drink preparation, record keeping, and handovers to day staff. Based in a welcoming family home with a dedicated carers room.
Ideal Candidate:
An experienced, calm, and attentive female Support Worker who is reliable, patient, and confident supporting epilepsy and waking night care while staying alert and responsive overnight.
