Personal Assistant

Friendly carer to provide cover for the following shifts

Hours required

Monday night 21.00 -09.00 Tuesday

Wednesday night 21.00 – 08.00 Thursday

Thursday 08.00 – 13.00

Saturday once a month 20.00 – 08.00 Sunday

08.00- 21.00 Sunday

Sunday night 21.00 – 09.00 Monday

The night shifts are sleeping nights , I require companionship before I go to bed, once I go to bed I usually sleep through the night. I do not require support during the night unless there is an issue or an emergency. I will require companionship again in the morning until the day shift carer arrives and maybe a cup of tea.

About me - I am a friendly 50-year-old woman with some disabilities. The carer should have experience of working with someone with these conditions.

I have physical disabilities (Pfeiffer syndrome) - As a result this condition, I am of petite statue and I cannot walk long distances, no more than a 10min walk, please always take my wheelchair when out in the local area.

I have mild learning difficulties - I require prompts and some gentle guidance with daily activities, to book a cab to and from my social classes, personal care and so on. With support, I can make small choices independently.

I am deaf. – I am totally deaf and cannot hear any sound at all. I understand some Makaton sign language which is a unique language programme that uses symbols, signs, and speech to enable people to communicate. On the job training will be given on this.

Pay Rate:

Night-time hours 4 x 11 hrs per week actual nights to be discussed. 21.00-08.00 hrs per night.

Gross Hourly Wage = £12.71 per hour

Daytime hours- Flexible as and when required and to be discussed in advance.

Gross Hourly Wage = £17.18 per hour
