Description

PA Support Worker – Home Support Role (15 hours per week, £14/hour) Tuesday / Saturday / Sunday – 5 hours per day

We are looking for a patient, supportive and encouraging PA Support Worker to assist a 45-year-old man with sensory impairment, epilepsy and short-term memory loss in developing life skills and maintaining independence at home.

This role is focused on empowerment, building confidence and supporting him with day-to-day practical skills—not doing everything for him, but guiding him to do things with support.

What the role includes: • Supporting him to prepare simple meals and learn basic cooking skills • Helping him use household appliances such as the washing machine • Taking him to purchase essential personal care items • Light shopping trips • Supporting hobbies and interests at home • Domestic tasks on Sundays: cleaning, ironing, laundry and general organisation • Encouraging independence wherever possible

This is a calm, home-based role, ideal for someone who is reliable, patient and naturally encouraging.

Hours: 15 hours per week • Tuesday – 5 hours • Saturday – 5 hours • Sunday – 5 hours

Pay: £14 per hour All relevant expenses covered

Requirements: • Experience supporting someone with disabilities (essential) • Patient, empathetic and comfortable giving gentle guidance • Able to work independently and follow routines • Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one • Eligibility to work in the UK

What we offer: • A contracted role with holiday entitlement • Expenses covered for outings and shopping • A supportive working environment • The chance to make a meaningful impact on someone's daily life

We are looking to fill this role in January

If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping others build confidence and independence at home, we’d love to hear from you.
