Description
IMMEDIATE START:
We are looking for a carer to look after a patient with Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. The patient requires a carer who can contribute to a structured, supportive, and safe environment.
His primary language is english.
He likes to play games and listen to classical music.
He is supported by nurses at the University Sussex Hospital. Personal care is being taken care of by nurses, but we are looking for someone to actively care for him and provide companionship.
In particular the carer will need to be able to help with:
- Helping with Mobility and Movement
- Encourage the Patient’s Eating
- An emphasis on specialised medical management
- Be able to provide cognitive support
- Help with ongoing lifestyle changes.
- Keeping daily logs
Location: The patient is currently based at the University Hospital Sussex
Hours: 8am-1pm and 4pm-8pm, 5-6 days a week
