Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in carer to provide support for a disabled woman living independently in her own home. This is a private position, with direct employment by the family (not through an agency), offering a stable and respectful working environment.

Working Hours:

12-hour shifts (day and night rotation)

Alternating schedule with another carer

Sleep-in arrangements included

Key Responsibilities:

Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
Assisting with mobility and safe transfers (e.g. bed to chair)
Supporting with medication administration and reminders
Preparing meals
Offering companionship and emotional support
Supporting daily routines and encouraging independence where possible
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes in condition
Assisting with appointments and accompanying when required
Managing household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying
Shopping for groceries and essential items
Ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Supporting with hobbies, activities, and social engagement

Requirements:

Previous private care experience preferred

A caring, patient, and professional attitude

Strong communication skills in English

Legal right to work in the UK

Comfortable working in a pet-friendly household (must be okay around dogs)

Additional Information:

Due to the nature of the personal care required, a female carer is preferred.
