Description
We are looking for a caring, kind and reliable live-in carer and housekeeper for my 86-year-old mother, who lives in a farmhouse in rural Oxfordshire.
My mother had a fall eight weeks ago and has since had a hip replacement. She now needs round-the-clock support to help her live safely and comfortably at home.
The role includes:
Personal care: washing, dressing, toileting and changing
Helping her in and out of bed
Administering medication
Preparing meals
General housekeeping and keeping the home tidy
Providing companionship and reassurance
You will be working alongside a trusted housekeeper and family friend, Helen, who works four days a week from 8am–2pm. During these hours, you will be able to take a two-hour break.
About the location:
The farmhouse is in a quiet, remote countryside setting. You must be comfortable living and working in a rural environment. Driving is essential, and having your own car is strongly preferred.
Other important details:
Family and friends visit regularly and occasionally stay
You must be comfortable around dogs and children
You should be confident working independently and using your own initiative
We are looking for someone who is:
Kind, patient and compassionate
Trustworthy and dependable
Friendly and calm
Experienced in caring for elderly people
Requirements:
Previous caring experience
Two references
Right to work in the UK
Accommodation and further details will be discussed with suitable candidates.
If you are interested, please get in touch with a brief introduction and your experience.
