Geist LV550 2005

Description

Geist was a 'high end' caravan of the mid 2000's. It is german made but designed for the english market, and as such everything conforms to english standards. The bodywork is of 'bonded' design: you can walk on the roof. The 'A' frame is longer than most caravans, apparently this helps to reduce 'snaking' that may occur whilst towing.

Our caravan's condition is what is to be expected of a caravan that is 20 years old, but on the whole it is pretty good. No damp, no significant damage, just normal wear and tear. The interior has been well looked after. New carpets were fitted two years ago.

All fixtures and fittings are in good working order, they include:-

Gas cooker
Hot water tank that works on either gas or 240v electricity
Fridge/freezer works on either gas, 240v electricity or 12v battery
Fire works on either gas or 240v electricity and has ducted heating
Microwave oven is housed on a shelf
31" TV/freesat box/DVD player are integrated behind a sliding door. The TV is fixed to
a wall bracket and can be pulled out for viewing or pushed back in out of sight.
Shower with hot and cold mixer tap
Toilet is of the standard cassette type

The living area has two upholstered benches that convert to 2 single beds or one double. This is in addition to the seperate double bedroom. Each has its own individual overhead reading lamp. There is also a seperate heavy-duty table which can be stored out of sight when not in use. We are leaving a four place dining plate set with cuttlery and glasses along with kettle, teapot and toaster. Also a 12v vacuum cleaner.

On the outside and also included in the price is an inflateable awning which can be erected by one person, it comes complete with screw in pegs, pump and interlocking floor tiles. A Reich caravan mover with remote control is fitted. We are also including a cover which protcts the caravan over winter and keeps it looking good for the new season. The battery is the biggest you can get for the caravan and comes with a smaller spare. The mains cable is also included as is the hose pipe and ball valve system for sites that have pitches with full services. For security there is a hitchlock and wheel clamp. Two Calor gas cylinders are also included, one of which is full. The external water barrel and waste tank stow away easily in external cupboards when not in use. The wiring harness that connects car to caravan when driving is also included as are the two car wing mirrors.

All in all this caravan is good to go. All you need is a tow bar and bed linen.
