Caravan Lunar Venus 1994

I have literally just bought this (on eBay) and am using the original seller's pictures. (I will add some of my own).

I bought it without viewing, with a very specific purpose - to be more or less permanent on our drive, with a view to it being spillover guest accommodation (if needed for Xmas - it wasn't!), an office / studio. This entailed quite a lot of prep work, removing fences, laying gravel, levelling, slabs, etc, so it would be accessible from our garden.

The chances of me towing it anywhere for leisure are virtually nil.

Foolishly I took a chance on the auction, a bit impulsive, bought it, paid the seller extra to deliver B4 Xmas, and it does not fit the space at all well. It's too long and the door is not positioned in a good place to enable access. I thought somehow it would all come good, but although I can do some more re-jigging, it's just not right for what I need (a sort of trying to fit a quart into a pint pot problem).

It's a 1994 Lunar Venus 5 berth. The photos in some ways make it look better inside than it is - it is a 1994 van, so it all looks a bit tired. The seller said there is no damp, it has bit of a spongy floor at the entrance but she was told this was the floor insulation having compressed. (It was serviced 2025 and the service sheet is with the van). The electrics were tested.

Interior lights and sockets work, fridge light was on. I am assured all appliances workOne of the sockets won't take a plug (I'll have alook at that). I'll check out cooker, fridge and heater properly and update ad if any issues there.

I think the sellers were honest brokers. They bought it last year for the summer hols with their young kids and had lovely times apparantly. I'm not so sure about the no damp claim - you'd expect ther to be some in a van of this age - it's a bit musty, but it has been standing unoccupaied for several months, so may just need warming up, a bit of usage and habitation.

. It needs a bit of a housekeeping - clean up, polish. For some reason at some point the carpet had been taken up. It comes with a roll of wood effect lino-vinyl to lay if someone wanted to.

All the windows appear water tight, blinds and curtains are OK. Cushions are firm. Seller drove it about 60 miles to deliver, and said it towed very easily. (I noticed offside bulb needs replacing)

There was no Leisure battery but I think I have one I can add.
