Swap Peugeot 308 2021 engine 1.5hdi from 2016 older 1.6hdi garage mechanic help
Can it be done ?
Peugeot 308 2021 1.5hdi blown engine
Was thinking about putting an older 2016 308 1.6hdi engine into newer car.
whats the difference between them would it work maybe just a case of reprogramming the injectors or swapping.
same car body but different gearbox 5 speed and 6 speed. 1.6 is single mass flywheel not sure about 1.5.
are the engine mounts the same ?
is it different wiring harness ?
Or just forget it. it’s mission impossible ?
Any Peugeot mechanics out there done it.
engines have different codes 1.6 hdi is dv6
1.5hdi code is DV5R.
