Offered here is this a September 2000 ‘X Reg’ Land Rover Discovery 2 V8i 3.9 Petrol GS Automatic with LPG.

Owned by me since May 2003 this is a V8i model with the factory fitted ‘banana’ 3.9 petrol injection engine and including a professionally fitted LPG conversion completed in early 2004.

This is a GS 7 Seat although the pair of fold down ‘jump seats’ in the very back were removed to accommodate the LPG tank.

It was used consistently and without issue for some years prior to being stored when replaced with a later model 4x4. The MOT expired in October 2011, (indicated mileage at 2010 MOT was around 130.000) it has not been used since – the last time it was used, it presented with a raft of dash warning lights, symptomatic of a quite common instrument cluster earth fault.

Over time it has been stored in different locations, indoors and outdoors. I have not attempted to start it recently but when laid up it ran well, transmission was very good and the LPG system was fully functioning. The rear suspension has ‘settled’ through lack of use and interior, whilst presentable, is in need of a good clean.

This is offered as shown in the images and described, I am confident it could be recommissioned and restored to its former condition but this is not a priority for me at the moment – hence it is offered as a project or for parts with no warranty given or implied.

This would make a decent everyday user or great potential for an awesome green lane/off road machine or as a valuable source of parts, engine (sought after as suitable for various 'kit car' applications) and transmission alone (in my opinion) worth the asking price.
