For sale is a genuine Getrag 242/5 Dog-Leg 5-Speed Sport Gearbox, removed from a running BMW E30.
• Type: Getrag 242/5 (dogleg pattern)
• Shift Pattern: 1st gear down to the left (close-ratio sport gearbox)
• Condition: Good used condition – shifts through all gears smoothly, no excessive play, no leaks. Removed from a running E30 before storage.
• Fitment: Factory-fitted to certain E30 models and also highly sought after for E21 323i, 2002 / E10 conversions, and other classic BMW upgrades (please check compatibility for your specific vehicle before purchasing).
• Rarity: These dog-leg sport boxes are extremely hard to find, especially in usable condition. Highly prized by BMW enthusiasts for restorations, period-correct upgrades, and performance builds.
Can be supplied with driveshaft and gear selector base plate if using for conversion.
