Description
VINTAGE FRENCH ENAMEL LUNCH TIN, SANDWICH BOX, CREAM GRANITEWARE SPECKLE MARBLED ENAMEL, L15 H12 D8cm - 1950s KITCHENALIA - REDUCED!
WILL POST - I can post this for £4.50 if paid for by bank transfer. (Note - we only accept payment in cash on collection or by bank transfer if delivery agreed - no PayPal, card, or courier payment).
Acquired from a vide grenier in Les Riceys in the Champagne region, this is a charming mid century lunch tin or sandwich box in bright, thick, enamelled steel.
Although used and worn it’s a quality piece in cream speckle enamel and still has it’s aluminium insert tray.
Dating to the 1950s it is still useable as a lunch tin and also makes a great decorative piece of French kitchenalia.
In good vintage condition with some wear, chips and rusting but no damage - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The photos best show the condition of this.
It was quite dirty and dusty on acquisition and has just had a wash.
The surfaces are thickly enamelled to both exterior and interior with wear, scratches, small chips, areas of rust and staining- see photos.
All are rigid with no flex.
Any rust is confined mainly to edges or chips and there are no holes.
The lid is in good condition with the original rubber seal intact so closes airtight.
The lid clips and handle are sound and work.
The aluminium tray insert is present and in lightly worn condition - see photos.
I can find no maker’s mark.
Measures approximately:
12 cm tall,
15 cm long,
8 cm deep,
Weighs about 400 g.
The wine bottle is to show scale and not included!
