Description

VW T4, Caravelle, camper, 2002, 2.5tdi engine, clock 136k. MOT 29.09.2026. Decent Caravelle is quite a rare find now. Future classic. Real head turner and gets lots of comments. Ready to go for summer.

We have had lots of great times in this van! I will be very sad to see it go as it has been very good to us. But our 2 girls are growing, and we need something bigger, so we are getting a VW Crafter to convert. If I had the space, I would keep it. But hopefully someone will enjoy it like we have.

I bought the van in 2018 (on 112k), I have always maintained the vehicle well, many thousands spent in this time, I have tried to summarise work below. As you can see from MOTs I have only done 24k miles in my ownership.

Since it is a Caravelle it has central locking, air con, electric windows, electric heated mirrors, nicer finish in the interior like velvet door cards etc. (Air Con is a massive bonus when you pull up somewhere to camp in the summer and the van is nice and cold)

Had resent MOT minor defects repaired 16.10.2025 (drive shaft + steering rack gaiters)

New alloys with Comforser All Terrain Tyres 2024 at £1049, only done 3k miles since put on the van
New cam belt and full head rebuild 2024 (£1600)
New alternator and battery (£190) 2023
New CAT and exhaust 2022
30mm Lift kit and new Sachs HD shocks (£460) with brake rebalancing - 2021
Gearbox rebuild - 2020 (£850)

The body work and paintwork are very good for age. Some slight small areas of rust no bigger than 50p. Classic areas for T4 some small bits on windscreen and arches.

CD head unit with Aux plug for iPhone, it has a drop down DVD player but the screen is broken.

Leather captains seats in front (one has some stitching come open). Passenger seat spins to face the back. Matching 3/4 rock and roll bed. Kitchen cabinets and wardrobe. It has a sink and gas hob that I took off so I could make a bed for our youngest when she was little! Sink and hob come with the van and so can the bed/box if needed.

It has hook up with concealed plug behind the rear fog light. It has all the wiring for a leisure battery, but I took it out last year as we didn’t use it (all of our stuff runs on gas). A bit of time, leisure battery and fuse needed to get the electrics back up and running.
Has a deiseal heater too but I’ve never connected it. It’s the original Caravelle one.

Comes with Fiamma 3 bike carrier and poled awning
