Description
Rare factory converted Carthago Malibu high top VW Transporter T4 Camper Van. Converted when new it is a 4 Berth LHD Left Hand Drive 1991.
Has a great amount of service invoices/receipts etc from 1992 to date. We have owned it since 2007 having bought it from the original owners who brought it over from Germany.

It’s a 4 Berth: Sleeps 2 on the rock n’ roll bed below and 2 up high. Comes with a nearly-new awning but needs attachment to connect to van.

- Brake pipes and drums replaced in last 2 months

As you would expect with a van of this age, there are areas of slight surface corrosion, mainly in the wheel arches.

Negatives:
⁃ Overheating warning light has always been an issue ever since we bought it in 2007. With age it now does occasionally overheat on long journeys and steep climbs.
⁃ Rev counter recently faulty, perhaps electrics in the dashboard.
⁃ Storage above cab needs relined.
⁃ Side sliding door is a bit sticky. Needs adjustment.
